Grabbing at Straws

My uncle tells a story about a roommate that would get really nervous before dates, so my uncle tried to share some tips. One such one was to compliment his date. At the movie he made such an attempt saying, "Gee, you sure don't sweat much for a fat girl."

Wow!

I have had a couple good lines lately. I am not sure if the fellas are trying to be original, or if they can't find anything else...

"Lori, I wanted to tell you, I really like the way you construct your sentences. And I love the way you enunciate. It is very distinct."

"I really like your hair. I am not sure why." (*thinks* Thanks buddy, but you could have left that part out.) "I think its your hairline. I really like it."

Uh thanks.

Is it like mine? --as he pulls offf his hat and grabs hold of his mane.

Uh sure. (uh not really)

Oh that's probably why I like it so much. I'll stop flirting with you now.
