Pinatas

The kids and I had our pinata yesterday. It was fun. We had nine little kids going at it. David used a racket on one turn, and Cameron fought not to wear the blindfold. The little girls (Sarah and Jessica didn't want to take more than one turn.) After all the kids had a couple chances, we all chanted Grandmas name and she took the liberty of taking down the pinata...

it was good times ;)

A Special Kind of Cool...

So our family is a special kind of cool. There is a pecking order err... I mean priority list for bedrooms when the whole family comes home. Karalee and I developed a plan last week. We knew we wouldn't get rooms (although as it turns out the girls got to share my room) so we decided we would sleep on the tramp--only it is the end of November. We decided to bring the trampoline inside! We waited up till about 2:30 am for Julie and Kathryn to go to bed. Finally we gave up and decided they could join in on the fun. Kathyrn, Karalee, Katie and I slept out in the living room. When Sarah came up stairs she called to her brothers, telling them there was a "wamp-o-ween in de way o we can't walk in where." It was sooo cute!

Turkeys...

We finished off the turkeys today ;)

I think they turned out fairly well. Justin's turkey is gold. It is the king.

Look how amazing these are. These boys did a REALLY good job!

The Dentist

So yesterday I went to the dentist. Scott, yes my dentist and I are on first name basis, was working away--doing his thing and all of a sudden the spray attachment forcefully removed itself from the water supply! The spray attachment shot to the back of my mouth and the pressurized water then sprayed my face. I am not taking about the little spray you get when they miss. I am talking about a very liberal shower. Of course the only thing to do was to laugh. So as I took the little napkin to dry my face, I was laughing pretty hard. I would like to know what the other patients were thinking :) Scott said that that had never happened before--and that it was a good thing it happened to me. (I assume that meant that it was okay because I laughed, not because it was the only way to get me to shower.)

Ode to Sarah

Oh my friend Sarah is leaving Rexburg today. I am kind of sad. She is cool. I sit on her, I harass her, sometimes I hit her. It is like we are sisters--except I don't use her stuff without permission. She is moving back home (PA) and I probably will never see her again. We had some pretty good times.

We took close to a million pictures last night. It was fun. Oh course some of us look better than others. Ya win some ya lose some.

Moving on... (sorry Sarah that's all the tribute you get in your 'ode')

I am going home today--well partially. I am staying at Clint's tonight and taking Sarah and Kelli to the airport for early flights. Sarah Karren is riding home with me to Vernal and that will be really fun. I like her a lot, she is one of the greats of BYUI.

Oh yeah, and in 4 weeks from today Chris goes on leave! I am pretty dang stoked about that!

oh...let the good times roll...

Utah!

So my sister Lisa and I were talking about how weird it is to say something about being "in Utah" (it is a very popular phrase here at BYUI) to one of my family members. They are all in Utah... oh boy I was trying to type this out and it made no sense. (smile and nod)

Ahhem. I was "in Utah" this weekend. It was good times... Karalee came up to Idaho (oh sorry I should have warned you all to sit down) yeah she came up and we went and had our hair done. She had hers colored and I had mine cut. Well since hers was taking a lot longer than mine, my stylist passed off an updo. This included a TP tiara. I was pretty stylish...

Lisa & Nick fed us ice cream, Karalee made me breakfast, Mary & Kyler fed Karalee and I dinner. I was going to say that everyone made me food--but Jared didn't. He was kind of slacking. He did accidently leave his gum in the car though. I wonder if that counts...hmmm...

It was really fun to hang out with the fam. It was really fun on Sunday to be with Mary and Karalee. I haven't talked to Mary much since she got married. It was like "old times' with the three of us. (Kyler had to go to meetings before dinner was done cooking.)

Anyway. I guess this is a lot of rambling...but it was fun. So thanks everyone!

I love Soldiers!!!

I just wanted to post and say how proud I am of our soldiers! Both of my grandpas served in WWII and I am so proud of them. I love to read the journals of both Grandpa and Grandma McKee. They really did give up a lot. I am so grateful!

Thanks to all of our soldiers, especially my brother, Riley and Chris.

(Even though I don't think any of these people have ever even looked at my blog, I want to say thanks)

oh and I may or may not have pirated the accompanying pictures

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I don't know if you know this: I LOVE Christmas. I get so excited for November so I can listen to Christmas music (truthfully I did listen to some a few days early this year). We got our first "sticking" snow--even though it is just a skiff of it, last night. It is beautiful out there though, the sun is shining and it just makes me happy!

I think I am coming home on the 22nd. I will be home for just over a week. Despite the cold this is my favorite time of the year. I am REALLY excited to go Christmas Tree Hunting! I love it! Two weeks later the semester will be over and I will again head home. But not without helping Brother Scrivner with graduation. He gets so worried about convocation every semester that I have agreed to be the perma-usher until I graduate. He is currently trying to work out a plan so I can help him in April. (I think that plan is just praying that the convocations don't run at the same time and that he can sucker me into helping :D)

I registered for my final semester of classes earlier this week. That was pretty strange! It is a strange concept not to go back to school. I have been doing that for a REAL long time! I have two Interior Design classes, Plant Science, Phys Sci lab, Math and of course Cake Decorating. I know, I know this class list looks like a first year student, not a fourth year. I always did like to do things differently ;)

Halloween

I know, I know. None of you probably thought I would dedicate a special post to my least favorite holiday. (It usually falls below Columbus Day) It was a really good day though. I guess nothing incredibly noteworthy though. I actually had quite a bit to do at work today--and Puff came to see me. I liked that. Brother McGary had this nice mask on and I laughed for several minutes it threw me off so hard! Oh I love my boss! This other picture is my friend Eric. Oh yeah...it is funny!

Leslie, David and I went to Crutchie's birthday party in Rigby tonight. His parents were incredibly nice, and I LOVED being in a house. It is amazing how nice that is after living in a cardboard box. Oh but I guess I should just be grateful for this place I have to live. I am just excited to someday have more space. (random tangent-sorry) It was good times. Leslie and I came home and hit another party for a few minutes and then came home and talked. Kelli, Leslie and I all have some funny stories that relate to each other.

Okay this is the most random of posts. There is nothing really here that is note worthy--I guess I just felt like posting.

Life is good.
