I just discovered I didn't post at all in September. The funny thing is I kept looking at my blog, like I thought it would change without some work on my part. (Come to think of it, I think I approach my love handles with the same misguided view.)
Today I was talking to my niece. (It is her birthday) This exchange cracked me up!
A: Are you coming to my party?
Me: Of course. I'll be there.
A: Oh good. I'll make sure you're on 'the list'
What? 5 year old's birthday partys have lists? Glad I made the cut.
Also, today I received my very own YouTube tube socks. I am thrilled with them.

She's making her list, she's checking it twice, I guess we'll see if Lori's been naughty or nice. I hope you got past security when you showed up for Amelia's party. Speaking of funny exchanges. Salomé was trying to get Peter to say a password before she would let him pass. She was having a hard time thinking of a password and Peter was losing interest in the game; so I suggested the first thing that came to mind, "open sesame" Salomé seemed content enough with that so she turned to Peter and said say "Open"... open. Say "Sesame"... sesame. Say "Street"... street. :) Cute kids.
