out of character

I love working with men. Lets start out with that. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love having that girl friend at work who becomes a great friend. (Shout out to Lindsay, Sabrina, Lindsee and Katie...) I guess I should rephrase this. I love working primarily with men.

I was super irritated with one particular coworker on Friday. I had so many things to do, but he just kept talking, and talking and complaining about an old coworker who would just keep talking... eghhh... Yesterday afternoon I had pretty much had enough. Then for probably the fourth time they started on the we hate BYU. Okay, that is fine. I don't care if they don't like BYU. I don't even especially care that they are ranting about BYU specifically, but if they are just nagging in a circle, it gets old. I may or may not have exploded, telling them this essentially, but in the irritated but not especially well structured way I do when I tell someone what I think while still doing what I was doing. Then I realized that Corporate America's fine invention--the cubicle--and the consequential lack of privacy. I am pretty sure I was louder than I intended. Then I got embarrassed. It is out of character for me to freak out at anyone other than my family. Sorry guys, it has to go somewhere....

A few minutes later I apologized to the one that was irritating me. Totally shook it off. Thank you!

Poor Guy, Been There, Received the Rant... =o) For future reference you will have to conduct a "Can you hear me know" survey... To find out if you are using your 2 cubicle voice, your 6 cubicle voice, or your "I'm yelling so loud, my Boss on the next floor up just heard me" voice.
