No Motivation Quite Like
I went to Logan a month-ish ago. I got a ticket. I lost the ticket. I didn't pay for the ticket. I headed out to Tridell for a weekend visit. Then I started to remember the story of a friend who was pulled over on a date and was then arrested for his failure to pay. (Yeah he didn't ever get another date with the lovely lady.)
Let me tell you this: there is no motivation to drive the speed limit* quite like the idea of having your car impounded and spending some time downtown just because you didn't get around to paying $80.
I finally tracked down my ticket (well the nice lady with UHP did). They wouldn't let me pay the ticket/register for traffic school over the phone, so I had to go to Roy. Yeah... that's a long way away.
Fast forward a couple weeks. I just remembered to take the course (again that whole pending warrant for my arrest thing). Blah blah blah blah... mostly the point of this post was two-fold. 1:: I wanted to show you, my dedicated reader (yes that is singular) this baby! I am kind of proud.

2:: I wanted an outlet to share the funniness of the course. They used statistics a decade old, didn't mention anything about texting and driving-texting wasn't real life then, mentioned eating a bowl of cereal while driving (guilty) AND...
wait for it....
used Bill Clinton in one of the examples.
For some reason that really hit my funny bone. Remember the good ole' days when he was the brunt of all sorts of jokes on the back of the school bus. Like we had a clue about anything...
*in close second to safe driving motivation is driving through a construction zone with several gallons of chocolate pudding in your car. I know these things.
