I love my life

There are lots of good things about my life.

1- Sara and Leslie are EXCELLENT roommates! We are pretty dang funny.
2- I spent some QUALITY time with the family last weekend. I saw almost everyone.
3- I am really excited for Stadium of Fire! I love country music and fireworks. Did you know that the 4th of July battles with Christmas for my favorite holiday?
4- Speaking of which, I love summer.
5- Work is excellent. We are setting up a new program and it is kind of fun to know more than the others :D I know, I know, I am arrogant.
6- A handsome, tall, single man just started at work. Lindsee and I are battling for him. It is kind of funny.
7- I love the stars. There is nothing like a summer night.

I'm lovin' it...

Ahhh.... I love the weekends!

This week I started my new job at Ken Garff Ford. I have a lot of downtime right now. They are still sort of determining my job responsibilities and the transition stage is a little slow, but they assure me that I will be busy. I think it will be a really good thing for me while I determine the next step of life. Any suggestions?

This weekend was fabulous. We went to Aundrea's art reception. She built a giant egg (5'4" to be exact) and then a group of us from the ward went Skittles bowling. I did win the normal game. That was fun.

Saturday we went to Country Throwdown. I am not sure if you can tell with the pictures but we were wet. Pretty much the whole time. It was kind of awesome though. I got to meet the Eli Young Band. I thought the drummer was ultra attractive .

Oh and I snuck a couple of pounds of candy in. We made friends with some people in line and the line guard pretended he didn't know we snuck in candy. Loved it.

Okay.... So we have a friend named Mark who loves walruses. He told me months ago that he had memorized The Walrus Poem from Alice and Wonderland. We finally got him to recite it last week. We had a bunch of people over for the poetry slam. It was epic.

This week he recited an original composition about Wal-Mart employees. We have decided to have a weekly culture night. Another poem is in store for next week. I think Alex is going to play his mandolin as well. Ahhh.... I love us.

Oh... and in preparation for said poetry slam we tried to fill the donut bowl with popcorn. We burned out the microwave. Dang.

We're moving in different directions...

Dear Front Desk,

I think it is time we break up. I know we have been together a long time-over 10 months. We have had some good times, and we have had some hard times. Its time to move on though. You have nothing left to offer me. Well we do have our little girl Dana. She does such a good job with phone training. I think she will understand; she is very mature for her age. I'd love to take her with me, but you know the volatility of the internet, and she needs to stay in school. She really excels in the classroom.

I am looking for something more. I think you have heard the rumors, they're true. I am dating your cousin--the internet department. Don't be angry. I have been seeing him part time for a couple months. We have spent time with his friends from AutoTrader and Cars.com they have all accepted me.

I wish you the best. You are going to find someone that makes you really happy. Lindsee is a great girl. I would be happy to set you two up.

Lori
